India’s gold Exchange Traded Funds are emerging as new investment destination after equities have fallen out of favour with the stock market down nearly 40 per cent so far this year. Exchange traded funds or ETFs make buying easier for the average investor by allowing him to buy in smaller units. That helps improve the liquidity of gold as an asset class. So, while one needs to spend over Rs 13,500 for investing in 10 grams of gold, one can by 1 unit of ETF for a tenth of that amount.

If your gold is held at an LBMA bank, you may be just an unsecured creditor, as much as 50,000 tonnes of gold have been sold that do NOT exist. That is equivalent of all the gold reserves in the world that are yet to be mined — or, put another way, 25 years of gold production.
The LBMA is likely to be the next Madoff scandal, multiplied by 100 — a $5 trillion fraud as opposed to a $50 billion fraud.

i can’t remember …
i can’t remember where i’ve seen a report that showed audits of some ETF’s in the US have duplicate entries and or the same bar serial numbers as part of inventories at different ETFs.
if so then some ETF’s could help keep prices low by that little bit more so i can buy the physical.

Anyone who owns a gold etf will surely be “Madoffed” People will be laughing in the future when they read up on our history about Americans buying digital gold, lololol. These etf’s are a scam because the govt could halt trading in the etf, but the bullion price will skyrocket. ONly an idiot would invest in GLD or SLV.
